Blue Mountains Itineraries

Have you thought about visiting the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area (GBMWHA)? Located only 1.5 hours west of Sydney, it's Australia’s most accessible wilderness. Inbound Operators can use suggested itineraries as a convenient solution for tour operators to give guests access to the most amazing natural scenery, world-class attractions, and quality accommodation and dining in this extraordinary region. Inbound Operators may chosse to tailor an itinerary based on timing requirements and schedule. Visitors can indulge their senses by staying a minimum of one night - or the recommended two nights - to fully enjoy the highlights of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

Transport Solutions for FITs / GITs / Groups

Inbound Operators may use their own coaches or with a Guide take a Group on the train. FITs may choose to travel by train or book onto one of the many day trip providers that offer daily services to the Blue Mountains from Sydney, with Hotel pick-up. On arrival in the Blue Mountains there are two hop-on hop-off tourist bus services for Katoomba and Leura. Options for Inbound Operators to consider:

1. Coach transport from Sydney

2. Catch the train from Sydney

3. Hop-on, hop-off tourist bus services for sight-seeing in the Upper Blue Mountains sightseeing;

4. Accommodation at a range of properties in the Blue Mountains

 Consider various configurations:

 Airport Transfer Solution

A popular option for FITs when there is a requirement to meet a domestic or international flight at Sydney Airport is to arrange a special airport transfer either direct or through the hotel you are staying at. It is suggested that to depart the Blue Mountains on the guest's final day, four hours prior to international flights or three hours prior to domestic flights. Guests may not then see Featherdale Wildlife Park.
